I love Teen Titans animated! My online name never came from her at all, but over the years, people have often asked me if it did. So I watched the show, and really enjoyed it. I thought it would be fun to make a Starfire costume.

Pictures thanks to Cosplay Snap - taken at Brisbane Supanova 2007.

I finished this in time for Brisbane Supanova in April 2007. I wore it on the second day. I'm really happy with how well it turned out, although the make up was a bit of a pain. Took a bit longer than expected, and was a little awkward.

A few quick notes about the costume itself:

- Yes, I am supposed to be orange (Kryolan Aqua Colour - Orange), I am not jaundice, nor am I ill! lol
- Lycra and wet look stretch pvc
- I am wearing matching lycra bikini bottoms underneath the skirt
- The awesome gems were made by Reactor Drone. His work is amazing, I am so impressed! They are attached with the 3M double sided mounting tape.
- The belt has a buckram base and the pvc was sewn and slipped over one end. The other end is handsewn closed, and the back closes with velcro. It is covered by another piece of the pvc, much like the back of a jedi belt. The fake buckle on the front is fun foam, covered with the pvc, and all attached together with that freaking awesome 3M double sided heavy duty mounting tape.
- The collar is lined with cotton and fastens at the back with snaps.
- The shoe base is a slip on canvas shoe, covered to the ankle with the purple lycra.
- The silver on the shoe is attached by the double sided tape.
- The boot top thingys have a seam down the back, and have the lycra attached around the top. Then I have a piece of elastic that I put over the top, then fold the silver part down over it. That's how they stay up!

Much of my reference came from watching the episodes, and it's really hard to find good images online. Will need to do some caps and add them sometime.
