The local chapter of the ACG 'Costuming Adelaide had an event called 'Yo Ho Ho at the Buffalo'. It's a ship that's been converted into a restaurant. The perfect venue for our event!
I made two pirate costumes, one for me and one for Dave. It was an incredible turnout of 46 people, and we had a great time!
Dave is the one in the middle of the first two pics. I used the same fabric for both our shirts - a linen look cotton. It's the same stuff I have used for my jedi undertunic and pants. It's very comfortable fabric. The pic on the right is the SAFF group photo :)
We got our tricorns from a local store, 'Adelaide Hatters'. They looked like this to begin with:
I pulled off the trim, and they came up looking like this:
I drafted our shirts from some basic instructions I found on the web, and guessed the rest. lol I'm really happy with how they turned out. My vest is actually my jedi overtunic pattern, lengthened, and without sleeves. Very handy!
