October 23 & 24 1999 (aka Bruce-Con 99)

- Bruce Boxleitner
- Marjean Holden
- Sandy Bruckner

This was one of the most incredible events I have ever had the pleasure of attending. It was the best convention yet! Bruce was the most incredibly gracious guest, and Marjean was a treat. Sandy was also really nice and it was great to see her again.

I took a digital photo of the photo of myself with Bruce, so it's not very good quality. I will scan it when I get the chance to. Can you tell I'm happy?

Now, I suppose you are wondering why I called it Bruce-con 99? I actually don't remember who started calling it that. It might have been me, but I don't remember. All I know is that based on previous events, I was very laid back and relaxed about this. I mean, I was excited about meeting Bruce, but was trying not to get over excited, in case I was disappointed. I was anything *but* disappointed. He was a fabulous guest and I actually had a chance to speak with him too. Not just say 'hello, I like your work', but actually talk with him. That was very neat :) As I write this report, it's 2004, so if I still get excited about this after 5 years, then it really did make an impression, didn't it?

The costume I wore was the Army of Light Uniform. I thought it was time for a new costume, and meeting Bruce meant making something special. Little did I realise that staying dressed as 'Ranger Alison' would have been significant. Well, the show was nearing its end, and we hadn't yet seen 'Sleeping in Light'.
